Lead Interventional Radiologic Technologist

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
In this role you will be:
Assist Interventional Radiologist during CT, ultrasound (US), and radiographic procedures, ensuring smooth workflow and patient comfort.
Perform or assist in fluoroscopic examinations as prescribed by the physician, following established protocols and safety measures.
Monitor patients closely throughout procedures, promptly reporting any unusual or concerning observations to the medical team.
Prepare equipment, supplies, and patient for interventional radiology procedures, ensuring proper functioning and sterility.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless coordination of patient care and procedure scheduling.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to infection control protocols and ensuring the safety of patients and staff.
Assist in maintaining a current and correct inventory of supplies.
Assist in maintaining current and correct supply and procedure billing information.
Provide patient education and support, explaining procedures, addressing concerns, and offering reassurance as needed.
Participate in quality assurance activities, including equipment maintenance, calibration, and performance checks.
Follow institutional policies and procedures, including those related to patient confidentiality, documentation, and safety protocols.
Continuously update knowledge and skills through participation in training programs, workshops, and professional development opportunities relevant to interventional radiology technology.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues, fostering a collaborative and patient-centered care environment
QUALIFICATIONS YOU NEED FOR THIS ROLE
Required:
EDUCATION: Successful completion of an approved school of radiologic technology

Experience: N/A
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:
Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists ARRT (R) required.
Advanced Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist ARRT (CV) (preferred).
IV certification (preferred).
BLS certification required or obtained within 1 month of hireEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
